Tips for Using Seoul Taxis

  1. Look for the “빈차” (empty car) sign or a red light in the windshield to identify available taxis.
  2. Have your destination written in Korean or show it on a map, as not all drivers speak English.
  3. Always ensure the meter is running to avoid overcharging.
  4. Keep small bills handy, as some drivers may not have change for large notes.
  5. During peak hours or in popular areas, using a taxi-hailing app like Kakao Taxi can be more convenient.

By understanding these different taxi options, you can navigate Seoul more efficiently and choose the best option for your specific needs. Whether you’re looking for affordability, language support, or extra space, Seoul’s diverse taxi system has you covered.
